Oracy Development

Iryna Liashenko is Associate Professor in the Department of Foreign Languages at Sumy State University. She studies online language learning, with a focus on English language learning among Ukrainian doctoral students. Her current research focuses on the development of integrated assessment grids to enhance motivation and performance among learners in online academic English programs. She is also conducting a study of oracy development in second-language learners, focusing specifically on young adults undertaking vocational training. She has worked with colleagues at Oslomet University in Norway, the University of Malta, the College of New Jersey (U.S.), Liverpool University (U.K.) and Lancaster University (U.K.).
