Ihor Dvorkin is Associate Professor in the Departments of History of Science and Ukrainian & Cultural Studies at the National Technical University Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute. His research interests span the memorialization of World War II in Ukraine, Jewish and Holocaust studies, memory studies, and museum studies. His current project studies the memory of World War II in Ukrainian discourse, with a particular focus on the impact of the Russian invasion in 2022 on perceptions of World War II. He has received recent support for his work from the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna, the Shevchenko Scientific Society in the United States, the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies, and the Center for Advanced Studies in Sofia (Bulgaria).
